The University is conceived as a response to Government's call towards contributing to educational development in the country by individuals or group of people or religious bodies. It is to serve as a catalyst in the educational, moral and entrepreneurial development of the people in Nigeria in particular and the world in general. It shall also seek to inculcate values in the students that will inspire them to be future leaders that will be job creators rather than job seekers.
The promoter now desires to advance the policy of the Federal Government of Nigeria on higher education by establishing Leadership University, Abuja. To actualize the dream for the establishment of the proposed Leadership University, Abuja, the promoter constituted Planning and Implementation Committee (PIC). The Committee was constituted and charged with the responsibility of overseeing the processes of establishing the proposed University and developing all the required strategic documents for the proposed University. The Proprietor also charged the PIC with the responsibility of communicating with NUC on issues relating to the licensing of the proposed University as well as ensuring that the Proprietor provides adequate and suitable facilities for the take-off of the University. The members of the committee are as follows.
The vision of Leadership University, Abuja is to: “to develop a higher institution with the dual goal of academic excellence and high moral standard.” Vision Statements provide a focal point that helps to align everyone with the organization, thus ensuring that everyone is working towards a single purpose. This helps to increase efficiency and productivity in the organization.
